Singing Tribal Bell Charms

14.00

Kochis Singing Tribal Bell Charms have a traditional ancient design motif dating back over 3000 years to the Middle East. Kochi jewelry and clothing are known for their vibrant colors, creative spirit and hand made gypsy lifestyle. The metals used are coin silver called "gillet" containing copper, zinc and other malleable metals. The '"stones" are deeply colored glass, each charm has several chainmaille type dangles with bells on the ends. They are solid, weighty pieces. The most special thing about these pieces is something you can't experience until you actually hold one. They make a beautiful "singing" sound, like far away echos of a traveling gypsy caravan.

Authentic, vintage circa 1960's, hand forged, each is unique, a few have small stones missing which can be easily repaired with a bit of Ice Resin and tinted dye. I have 2 pairs that look similar, one set with red center stones and one set with a metal ball in the center. Let me know if you'd like a pair. These can be polished if you prefer, but I really love the soft time worn patina they have.  Approximately 4" diameter.
