We are super excited to welcome another uber talented soul to join the RELICS & ARTIFACTS® Brand Ambassadors! Monica will help us kick off 2016 next month in creating some amazing projects on the team. Sandra scouted out Monica's amazing art around the social media and we are thrilled she is joining our all things relics addiction. Of course, you know the drill around here....we ask what cranks the creative mojo and Monica delivered on our Q&A.
Monica is a California girl living in an Arkansas world. Her husband's job relocated the family to northwest Arkansas and she really loves it there. Monica loves making art and has always been a creator. She loves to see the outcome of mixing different mediums. Mixed media art is her LOVE. Monica loves inspiring people to try new things and think 'outside-of-the-box'. Monica works full-time and makes art whenever she has spare time. She is very excited to be a part of the RELICS & ARTIFACTS® Brand Ambassadors and the amazing journey to come.
What fills your time when you are not creating?
I work full-time as a trucking dispatcher. I love my job where it's fast paced, crazy busy and where I can talk to people from all over the country every day. Also, I love spending time with my husband and my kids, our 2 mini doxies, and riding our custom Harley Davidson trike.
What are you favorite materials to use when you create?
I love using anything that will create texture and dimension. Modeling paste is one of my go to materials. Also, I use lots of stencils, flowers, and metals.
Where do you find inspiration for your art and how do you stay inspired?
Love [the word itself] is a big inspiration for me. The happiness it brings to my life and the pain that it can bring. Also, I find a lot of inspiration in my fellow artists, Pinterest, and the amazing products that I get to work with in my art.
What is your signature style?
Shabby grunge. I love creating beautiful things with an edge to them. I love hearts, tiaras, and butterflies (really, anything with wings).
What is something your friends probably don't know about you?
I am a huge super hero she geek. I love everything Marvel! I have a collection of female super hero and villain dolls. Also, I've seen every Marvel movie to date (at least 10 times)!
If you could meet with anyone, living or deceased, who do you feel you could spend hours in a chat over a cup of tea/coffee?
I never had the chance to meet my Gramma Mo. She died when I was a child. I would love to sit with her and just listen to her tell me about her life.

What is your best tip for those new to RELICS & ARTIFACTS® product?
Don't be afraid to try something new with the relics. They are just so many endless possibilities with these products. All of the pieces mix so well together and I believe anything goes in creating with them.
