Organic Wrap Bracelet- by Muse Rochelle Gaukel

March 15, 2019 Sandra Evertson

I am always amazed at the result of a piece when using the stamped solder technique. Amazed that the hot solder doesn’t melt the stamp and also amazed at the detail that is always achieved.

Finding the right art stamps for this technique is the key. What you should always look for in an art stamp are deep grooves and pockets. These provide the detail that happens when the hot solder seeps into those crevices and leaves you with an amazing result.

Sandra’s stamps have so much detail so they are perfect for this technique. For the three oval pieces of this bracelet I used her Portugal art stamp which gave the pieces a really organic look.

Along with the mix of different metals, this wrap bracelet is subtle enough to wear everyday, or can be dressed up with other jewelry for a more glamorous look.

Supplies:

Portugal art stamp

Copper metal

Brass wire

Soldering iron

Spool of lead free solder

Patina
