I'd love to say that there is always a deeper meaning to my art, a hidden message, a commentary on our society as a whole, or a revolutionary idea behind it. There IS a piece of me in all my work. Sometimes, my art can hold a poetic imprint or a therapeutic energy. Other times, I create simply because I love to make art. I love being creative. Period. That's when art is more about the process than the finished piece and that is precisely how this little "huevo a la diabla" came to be.

While holding the Relics & Artifacts® resin egg from the Imperial Eggs set in my hand (and contemplating another piece altogether), the idea came to me- a DEVILED EGG! It cracked me up (pun intended). So I made him. I made him just for fun!

Art doesn't always have to be serious or stuffy. It doesn't have to be adult or poignant. As a matter of fact, it is perfectly fine to just let go, try that silly idea and let your INNER CHILD come out to play!
